Gewa Digital Pianos

“Excellent sound and the feel of a grand piano.”

– Prof. Alexander Meinel, Academy of Piano Music – Leipzig

CLASSICAL PIANO PLAYING WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY

GERMAN MADE GEWA PIANO

The GEWA Digital piano is the perfect instrument for students and researchers, made in Germany.
Available in 5 different versions: DP (Digital Piano) models, UP (Vertical Piano) models and a wooden keyboard model. The sounds of the Steinway grand-piano D-274 were digitally recorded in a well-equipped studio in Hamburg. The sampling of the GEWA digital Piano is therefore based on the Steinway grand piano. There are more than 30 different sounds for different musical styles, such as e-pianos, organs, strings, choirs, basses or synthetic sounds. In addition, these sounds can be folded, split or played with 4 hands and offer an 8-way sequencer for recording your own playback track. Audio content is duplicated via Bluetooth and USB connection. The keyboard features a very nice ivory imitation surface, 3 contact points and a scaled calibration uniquely designed by GEWA. All these features make the digital piano an excellent choice for dynamics and repetition. Even the finest sound nuances can be heard thanks to the virtual soundboard. The GEWA digital piano allows the classical pianist to express himself very well.

GERMAN MADE

The Vogtland region in Germany represents not only traditional instrument making, but also the development of top quality circuit boards with high precision. Not far from the Gewa factory, our suppliers produce high quality industrial manufactured parts used for GEWA digital pianos. The production process includes multiple quality checks. Every component and every piano passes the “Made in Germany” documentary procedure.

CO-OPERATION PARTNERS

 Fatar

The keyboard is the interface between man and technique. In 1989 FATAR received a patent for a lever and spring mechanism. Today FATAR is the number one keyboard manufacturer. The keyboard of GEWA digital pianos is based on FATAR modules.

DREAM

Dream has been providing world-leading hardware and software solutions for audio synthesis and audio processing since 1987. Dream continuously develops new DSPs and modules for electronic musical instruments, effects devices and much more.

TECHNISAT

Technisat Digital GmbH was founded in 1987 with the aim of offering high-quality satellite reception technology to the end user. Since then TechniSat has developed solutions for data reception and connectivity. Today they offer TV, digital radio, smart home solutions and other smart lifestyle electronics. TechniSat develops and creates innovative solutions for tomorrow. Gewa and TechniSat are working together to develop piano circuit boards.

DİJİTAL PİYANO MODELLERİMİZ

We would like to present the new DP and UP models of GEWA Digital pianos. All Gewa pianos feature the unique Steinway D-274 concert grand piano samples. In addition, the large 8GB memory holds higher quality sounds than ever before. A feature of all our piano models is the high-resolution, calibrated three-contact keyboard with three contact points, giving you the feel of a real piano. The option to record your own playing, play audio via Bluetooth and minimise sound using headphones emphasises the versatility of GEWA digital pianos for everything from music education to concerts. GEWA digital pianos are manufactured in Adorf, Germany.

AKILLI TEKNOLOJİ

“What you need to play the piano: heart and soul combined with discipline and good technology.”

The heart of the GEWA Piano is a high-performance panel developed by software specialists in Europe. A full-blown technique meets true innovation.

256 voices – without sample cycles. The new and extremely fast IC offers a faster data acceleration than NAND-Flash memory. As a result, you experience all piano functions in true sequence. Loop-free sampling.

SOUNDBOARD

Sampling

The sounds of the Steinway Concert Piano D274 were recorded in an art studio in Hamburg (Germany). Hundreds of samples were prepared. One example: digital reproduction of a tone signal.

KEYBOARD

Thanks to the use of 3 contact points, the “Concert-Pianist” keyboard is at the level of a concert piano in terms of weighting and repeat performance. Clearly defined and precise touch, perfectly calibrated 6-layer patterns support virtuosic playing.

VSRC

Since with VSRC we record the exact vibration of each key in each sound layer on the soundboard, the resonance changes in the cabinet and you can even hear the vibration of the soundboard. Sampling: A sample is a digital image of the complex sonic structure of sound. To deliver an unrivalled sound experience, we recorded a Steinway D-274 concert piano in a “state-of-the-art” recording studio in Hamburg. Each key was recorded in multiple dynamic layers, resulting in hundreds of samples. Most importantly: We didn’t cut or loop the sounds afterwards; we gave them virtually calculated decomposition to save space in memory. Therefore, what you hear hitting any key on a GEWA piano is the real sound, with the exact recorded vibration of this marvellous Steinway instrument.

DATA

A new and extremely fast IC is defined that offers faster data realisation than NAND-Flash memory. As a result, you experience all functions in real sequence.
