Introduced in 1928 by Lyon & Healy, Salzedo was developed in collaboration with Witold Gordon.

It is named after the legendary harpist, composer and teacher Carlos Salzedo, who collaborated on its design.

Created in the Art Deco style of the 1920s, Salzedo is characterised by the delicate linear carving and simple geometric decoration on the Hard Maple column and base. This same style is reflected in the Sounboard, whose hand-applied red and silver stripes – also a popular Art Deco pattern – decorate the extended Soundboard. Its bold lines and angles create a striking and open profile, while its full, clear sound is a world-class trademark. Salzedo’s uniquely angled Sitka Spruce soundboard is accentuated with Rosewood inlays along the edges. The ornate decoration on the solid brass action plates completes the harp design.

The Salzedo is available in natural finish and comes complete with a shroud, tuner key.
