The Concert Grand E is the result of continuous development of a design dating back to 1895. It is considered by many pianists to be one of the most original, first-class designs in the industry.

Special Features

The unique features of the E model include a sound-reflecting frame, star-shaped/semi-wooden supports and an “incredibly fun” mechanism (Cyprien Katsaris). Steingraeber is the only manufacturer to reduce the drilling surface of the treble soundboard and restore the classical relationship with short treble strings. This means that Steingraeber strings require 27% less wood weight to set them in motion. Even when it comes to softer sounds, this instantly rewards the pianist with a singing resonance.

In this way, Steingraeber architects are adding a new sonority to the music of the 18th and 19th centuries.
